Friday i went to the cubby bear for a Q101 charity show benefiting brain tumors. The show was played by AM Taxi, Saosin and Story of the Year. They had a silent auction with lots of signed and unsigned sports memorabilia. Q101 also donated some really neat signed items from several different bands. The coolest item there was a stainless steel sink signed by Tool. I audible shrieked when i saw it. What a unique and interesting item signed by one of my all time favorite bands! How awesome would that look mounted on the wall! I hemmed and hawed about bidding on it. Went out and listened to Saosin and then decided to come back and look again. No one had still bid on it. I talked to the auctioneer and got some info on how this whole thing worked. When i went back someone had bid on it. I decided to see what would happen. We both upped our bids against each other several times. Right before the sink was pulled i quick signed my name and upped it one more time and won!

I couldnt believe it! It was amazing! After closing things out and stashing my stuff with the sink i went out and saw Story of the Year play a kick ass show! we were right up in front screaming along with them. I tore up the pit. I needed a good mosh pit. I cant tell you how alive and raw i feel pushing everyone around and just letting myself go to the music. i love when guys look at me like o you are girl what are you doing here? I didnt escape unscathed tho.

this bruise is on my hip im guessing an elbow caused the damage. it was much blacker yesterday. plus ive got several other tender and bruised spots on my arms and shoulders. but hell whats war without a few wounds?
after the show i grabbed my sink and was able to get Story of the Year to sign it!

they are such nice guys and were happy to add their awesomeness to my Tool sink.
it was pretty strange walking down Clark Ave. with a sink. I also got to try Ian's Pizza for the first time. im usually a deep dish girl but these thin crust creations are pretty amazing! they put some crazy shit on pizza! and the staff was super nice and friendly. We were orginally going to go to Kuma's but ran out of proper time allotment thanks to friday traffic on the expressway.
after i got home i was able to charge my dead cell phone. Early in the night before i started to bid on the sink i entered a $10 raffle drawing. The prizes were a signed Patrick Sharp green blackhawks jersey, cubs rooftop tickets((Go Sox!)), a Les Paul epiphone guitar signed by 30 seconds to mars and manchester orchestra, a football signed by the 2007 bears, and breakfast with sherman and tingle from the Q101 radio shows. I was in awe to find out i had received a call about the raffle. I had won the second drawing but never heard my name called! i figured i couldnt claim anything now that i had left but called to see just in case. The guy said he would call Q101 on monday and i could claim one of the prizes left!
What an amazing night! i cant believe that this all happened to me. shit like this doesnt happen to me.
tomorrow im going to call and see if i cant get some type of document authenticating and explaining the Tool sink. I know its real because i have Maynard's signature already on wine bottles. It would still be nice to have something to go with it from Q101 telling me when and who. Im having difficulty decifering who signed it. I can tell Danny Carey and Maynard's signature but the others dont look anything like the other member's names. and for some reason there is a thumbprint in silver ink next to one of the names. interesting.....
Yesterday i went and saw Blue Man Group at the Briar Street Theater with my family. It was mom's Christmas gift. It was pretty damn cool! Such an amazing combination of performance art, comedy, music, miming, and creativity. I highly recommend it. We then had dinner at Select Cut Steakhouse. I have had drinks and steak burgers from there before so i knew what to expect. It was very good and nice to have a fancy dinner with my family. and none of us got in a fight!![tongue](https://dz3ixmv6nok8z.cloudfront.net/static/img/emoticons/tongue.55c59c6cdad7.gif)
today was lazy. i was exhausted because in between all of this excitement i worked. im looking forward to a few days off so i can catch up with important things that ive neglected because ive been so busy this weekend.
ive decided i need to find some kind of lacquer or clean coat varnish to protect the signatures from fading and deteriorating. i would hate for something to happen to them.
o and tuesday Dorsal's fiancee is touching up the goldfish tattoos he did for me over the summer. Ah the sting of the tattoo needle! Hopefully i will get to see her and the little butterball.
i hope everyone out there in SG land is doing well. thankyou for all the birthday wishes. It truly makes me smile.![biggrin](https://dz3ixmv6nok8z.cloudfront.net/static/img/emoticons/biggrin.b730b6165809.gif)
