It's been months... since some time in August, that I posted anything new to my little personal website. Work has been overwhelming, and the little time I've had away from it was too valuable for me to want to write much. I started the site up at the beginning of the year as a vehicle for the writer's side of my creativity, something to help me deal with the stress of everything I had experienced the year prior in Afghanistan. While I believe its main purpose has been served, I don't want to get rid of it, as I find use for it occasionally. I still want to update the Batman section when I have time, and I want to continue to post movie and video game reviews.
When it comes to my blog, most entries are personal. On occasion, though, I want to post opinion pieces, and after the implementation of the Patient Protection & Affordable Care Act (a.k.a. ObamaCare), I felt the need to write about it. Day after day I was hearing about how this god awful legislation was making people suffer, and it got to me. So I wanted to say my piece about it. It took me about a week or so to get it all done (free time has been severely limited), but tonight I got it done.
Give it a read if you like. You may hate me for it (I tend to find that most people on here identify themselves as "bleeding heart liberals"), but even if that is so I hope you can find something of value in it.
