One more day until Vegas. Dreading the drive, but will be really nice when we get there. Big family reunion.
We're driving because both my wife and I hate to fly.
It's been so hot here that we've been staying inside. Watched Pink Panther 2, which was decent. I always watch film geek movies and my wife gets the lighter stuff. Last movie we went to the theater to see was Star Trek and we both loved it. Last movie I rented and enjoyed was Gran Torino.
I'm reading Peter Lynch's Learn to Earn. I bought the book for my son to read and he read it because I told him to. Unfortunately he didn't enjoy it. It's pretty good, starting off with a quick history of capitalism and explaining how capitalism freed us up and it's a good thing. Then he goes on to tell you how to invest.
I know, boring for most people, but I find that stuff interesting. I started investing in the stock market 11 years ago during the dot com years. I was a dot commer, and made a lot of money and lost a lot of money. Fun times. We were wild. And stupid. Used to rent limos and go from strip club to strip club. It seemed like the money would never end. But it did.
I wish I read Peter Lynch back then. I would have invested more wisely. No regrets though, because we partied like a rock star and I'll always remember those years fondly.
I've been listening to Opeth non-stop. Love that band, and regret not seeing them on their last tour here.
I just cooked Hawaiian curry with sausages, potatoes, bok choi, garlic, and pineapple chunks, all over rice. I probably ate too much, but no worries. In this heat, I'll probably sweat it off.
Anyways, I'm rambling on. Time to check out some blogs, then groups, then babes.
