growing up in the south, you go home to things like horses.
i remember when i was in high school, i'd get home, saddle her up and just ride. this was back when where i lived was more or less baren and not the housing development it is now. she was still young back then and could run like a motherfucker.
popped off this photo while feeding her one morning - built this barn with my dad when i was 15. crazy it's still there. and she's still there.
she'll be 30 in april. which is WAY up there in horse years. and it'll be a long time till i have another, sadly. kinda makes me sad that i don't see her so much anymore.
she's basically the longest relationship i've had with a chick other than my mom!
