All my life I've had dogs. I considered myself a "dog person" and all those long list of cliches of cats being assholes and such.
To top it all off, I was allergic to cats and they made my asthma worse. So having a cat was always off the table.
But we tried! I was 11 years-old and we lived in a small rural town. My mother wanted a cat (aside from our two dogs) so "it could take care of the rodents".
Sadly, sweet and cute ball of fluff loved me too much, and at night, it would sneak into my room and sleep on my pillow. Breathing became an imposible task when this cutie did that.
So among tears and allergy, I had to give back this cutie whose name I can't remember, but I remember the white fluff he used to be.
And so, my life became catless.
Enter... RAMEN!
After a year living with my roomates and being exposed to their cats, my allergy to cats VANISHED!
So I decided to adopt a cat. It was better for me and my way of life! a dog was just outside of my means.
My roomate sent me an instagram story about a girl whos cat had iven birth to many kitties and two were available for adoption.
I messaged her and chose the kitty that was meowing at the camera. this cutie patootie of three colors.
I love LOVE pets, and a big goal of mine was having a dog. I even had a name chosen! But for a cat... I had no idea.
WHAT DO YOU NAME A CAT?!
I wanted to keep a theme, and my chosen dog's name was food related, so the cats name had to be the same.
And one morning, I HAD IT!
She was going to be called RAMEN. It fit like a glove.
Ive had her since february 2021 and she is about to be 2 years old in a couple of months.
It has been a learning curve because cats are so different than dogs, but my the gods I love her so much.
Having a pet that is only mine, and gives me so much love and allows me to give her soooo much love, its amazing.
I hope you all have an amazing week and send your pets a big kiss from me!!!
