1) Halsey, hand down.
She is this cute, sexy, smart, feminist, bisexual, biracial woman, in her early 20's.
Her whole first album is great, it talks about a lot of types/stages of love, it's very VERY romantic.
I cant stop hearing her music, srsly. My favorite song has to be Roman Holiday or Is there somewhere, both are gender neutral, but I have a strong theory that is about girls.
Today her fourth music video came out, and its greaaat. I LOVE all the subtext in the song and how it played in the music video.
Other than that, I srsly love her video for Ghost (its visually gorgeous, ssooooo gorgeous).
2) Hozier. You probably have heard SO many covers of his song "Take me to Church". and no, it does NOT speak of a christian church, is actually talking about a woman/sex sorta church, you know? idk, its a lovely way of describing someone you adore, and are sorta obsessed with (when love drives you mad and such).
But this irish delight is more than that. He does not only talk about equal rights for men, women and lgbt, he also has a song about partnet on partner abuse, and all the sales of this song will be donated to the cause of helping people victim of family violence (dont know the exact term in english, sorry).
The video is absolutely gorgeous and has Saorise Ronan and that guy from Vikings in it.
But if I'm talking about MY favorite song from hozier, it has to be Work Song. And geezus it has a most lovely video... I love dancing, classical, ballet style dancing. If I could have I would have studied it.
3) Grimes. Because srsly, she is so weird is so cool. And her art, the whole concept around her, it's 100% grimes.
I'm loving her latest album "Art Angels" a lot, my favorite song is Flesh Without Blood. Its fun and it's danc-y and it talks about love, but a love lost because people change in a bad way, and they arent true to their feelings or they basically treat you like garbage, but in a fun way tho.
This has been a super fast blog :D I'm just idk, super happy for good music? romantic, fun music? even if it talks about sad subjects.
Have you guys/gals heard of any of these? any favorite song?
