Hi lovely people!
A little while ago I discovered Herself.com a website made by actress Caitlin Stacey.
What is it? this article of Glamour Magazine explains it better than me: Glamour Mag.
But I'm gonna do my best: it's a feminist website, that features interviews with women (all types of women: diferent body shapes, sexuality, ethnic background, etc) and it also features pictures taken by female photographers, that are completely devoted to showing the women as women, without the feature of the "male gaze", the "trying to please" and se objetification it usually comes with posing naked.
I think it's an AMAZING project, and somehow reminds me of a more activist SG, in the beginning, that it was about redefining beauty...
I'm thinking about participating, because as some of you may know, I am indeed a feminist and also an artist (I mean, who doesn't want equality now a days uh?), sadly tho, it seems the photogs are located in LA and Melbourne only, but let's see what happens!
I encourage you to share the site (it's a non profit site, no one gets money out of it, so it's not a competition site for SG), for your female friends to see, because it's very common that women feel bad about their body, hell, because society tells us to feel bad if we aren't "perfect".
