I can't believe I am at work today. I'm the only one here. To make things worse, I got stuck in beach traffic on the way here. What I would give to be at the beach today instead of here! But I just started this new job and I want to make a good impression (for once).
Last night I went to a party in Nashua hosted by Fetish. It was a welcome change from my normal Friday nights at ManRay. I met a whole bunch of people and talked to Fetish and Scarlett, both who were a bit drunk and didn't exactly remember me. I saw a girl with a SG tattoo on her back, and I tried to get her attention but then she disappeared and I didn't see her from the front. I'm trying to figure out who it could have been. I know it wasn't Frost, who has a SG tattoo on her arm, I think - I would have recognized her. I also met a guy named "Half Head" who is in a band called AbSynthe. In a couple of weeks they are playing at Albion, (the batcave) in NYC, which is the club that I really wanted to go to last weekend when I was in NYC. It's such a small world. Half Head's gf was excited to hear that I was taking a sewing class and planning on working with PVC. She wanted a lime green and pink (was it?) PVC skirt, I think, lol.
My roommate's sister Allison came and apologized to me last night for the misunderstanding about her apartment. She says she was confused because she was sure that her roommate wanted to move in on Sept 1st (and not July 15th), in fact, she says thats why she chose her over another girl who wanted to move in right away. She offered to do anything she could to help, even offering to let me stay in her bedroom. WTF? Why say that, obviously I'm not going to do that, and she wouldn't really want me to, lol. I don't think her bf would appreciate that either. Empty words. I don't like when people say things they don't mean, whether it is just to be nice, or to offer things they don't intend to give.
I'm going to start looking at places soon, although a lot of them are opening up Sept 1st. That means I have 6 weeks of homelessness. Probably I will spend that time going from friend to friend and crashing with them, trying not to take advantage of any of them and overstay my welcome by staying too long at any place. Maybe 2 weeks with Sara, 2 weeks with my old roommate Shawn, 2 weeks with someone else.
My sister is coming to visit next weekend. She really wants to go to ManRay with me, but she is only 18, and ManRay is 19+ on Fridays. She's in college and she'll be 19 in 3 months
. Is there any way that they might let her in?
