Sort of random update today. I felt like I needed to write something non-Sarah2 related.
I saw Haruki Murakami speak at Harvard yesterday. He is a famous - perhaps the most famous - contemporary Japanese author. His books have become quite popular in America too, and they said the talk would have sold out many times over. I was lucky to get a ticket from a friend who couldn't go. It was funny but I've never actually read any of his books. I have one of them, "Pinball, 1973", in Japanese but I never got around to reading it. Reading in Japanese is time consuming for me, so I decided to just give in and get some of the English translations of his books. I started reading "The Wind-up Bird Chronicle" today.
Yesterday was Beer and Burgers at Charlies with the SG Boston peeps. It was fun as always. Then I went to The Pill with Salo777. We got there late, only about an hour before closing, but we had a good time. I need to start going to The Pill again. We went to an after-party which was mostly a bunch of too-cool-for-school hipsters, although there were two friends of ours that we knew from the goth scene there too. I met this girl and her gay best friend and I hung out with them a bit at the party. I found out that her friend lived about a block from me in Somerville, so I invited them over to my place for some beers after the party. They came over and drank and she ended up passing out in my bed. Then he fell asleep too. That seems to happen a lot... women passing out in my bed, lol. I need to stop giving them so much alcohol. Anyways, all three of us ended up sleeping there. I had a good time, I guess, I wasn't all that attracted to her, and it seems she has a bf but she was fun to hang out with. Of course she was convinced I was gay for most of the night and she told me that her friend thought I was hot and that I shouldn't tease him if I wasn't gay (huh?). We didn't fool around at all, although it was nice to cuddle (that's me, king of spooning). I did kiss her once, but it wasn't "making out" or anything. It was somewhere between a peck and a real kiss. Hopefully, I'll hang out with them again sometime. I like making new friends.
Tonight, Heroes. Should be a good time.

Side Note: I really like his books "Norwegian Wood" and "Hard Boiled Wonderland and the End of the World" the most.
