so nick has come and gone and i probably will never see him again ... although he did lend me his sleeping bag, so yeah, i guess i will have to see him. but it might be awkward due to reasons i will not specify here.
oh god ... i totally have to go post in the girl group... hahaha.
today is the day i am going to scramble and get my last minute gear together. im hitting the value village to get some long sleeve tees and some grungy shorts and pants, a fleece jacket, and maybe some rain gear if i luck out. i also have to return some tupperware to some people and buy my own.
my bags and tarps and shovels are being sold to me by the company (which is BRILLIANT because its not only saving me time, but money too.)
everything else i need is all the cheapy stuff like ziploc bags. i bought a crapload of baby wipes and other things necessary for being a girl in the bush.
oh fuck, i still need a backpack. ahahahahahaha. or maybe i can just take my rolling suitcase!! ahahahahah.
no. haha. that would be way too rookie of me.
im somewhere between terrified and excited. im having tons of freaky thoughts like, what if i hurt myself? what if i suck and i dont make any $? what if i cant cut it and i have to quit?
the last thing nick said to me before he left was that he believes in me. i barely know him, but the faith of an almost total stranger has made it a little easier to have faith in myself. oh man, this guy inspires me so much. he made me a practice staff, burned me an assload of CDs, lent me his sleeping bag, and given me tips and has just generally had my back. im so thankful to have met him, because i really didnt expect a random drunken encounter to turn into this. and i dont even know what this is ... but its okay. because maybe it will still be there when i get back.
