i want to slow down and capture my own imagination
place it in a jar
and leave it on a shelf
to sit
to fester
to grow angry
and to stop thinking
of the things
you did
behind my back
the power it has over my brain
makes me tremble on every occasion
and makes me decide
to sleep the rest of the day
in a quiet stupor of wine and codine
straight to it
to examine the skull beneath the skin
