I was born on the west coast. Im not sure if that's why I love it so much, but the ocean calls to me. The sweet smell of salty air, the cool breeze that kisses your skin as little whitecaps break, the seals barking. It's all so magical. Every time I think about moving, somewhere I can buy a big house, with acres of land for my dogs to run and play, the ocean whispers and my roots grow deeper. I feel like the whimsical arbutus, tied to this little bit of land near the sea. A prisoner to the Pacific of my own free will.

I get it. 🌊 I grew up in a fishing town in Ireland & though I’ve lived in the US for 34 years I’ve never been comfortable away from the ocean. 90 miles inland I start getting an itch that doesn’t leave until I get back to the coast. I’m about 20 miles away now, but it’s a short drive, a house on the ocean is an unattainable dream though, at least in NE US.
