I don't know how many of you lovely people can sympathize with me currently, but I'm drowning in school work, and retail work!
Schools nuts, it always has been, and I don't think it'll ever change. Luckily this is my last week! One final week of classes and then a whole month of freedom! and boy, do I have amazing things in store for December! I've got a shoot planned with a new photographer, a friend of mine from school, and I can't wait to try something different. I've grown so much in the 6 months since my last set, and miles since my first set. Hopefully that growth carries over.
Now the real topic, stress and stress busters!
It's always crazy stressful at this time of year. Black Friday, the begging of the Holiday season, school exams, trying to make plans, etc.
I want to share some of my favorite stress busters because sometimes people forget that we all need to calm down.
Naked Yoga.
I started doing that this week. When I get out of the shower I dry off, then lay my towel down on my floor and stretch. I do a couple flows, a bridge, and maybe a crow pose or two. Whatever my body feels comfortable with. The shower helps loosen me up, and makes me feel clean when I move my body. If you've got room, I recommend trying it, maybe even with your partner just to see what happens.
Going for a walk.
Get as far away from the problem as you can, for an hour. Walk around the mall, walk around your school, walk to your friends house, through a forest, with a smoke or a joint or a snack. Get out of the places that stresses you out for an hour and clean your head, calm down, and get the blood flowing.
Stoned bubble bath
This is definitely a given, because who doesn't do this already. But I mean seriously, try it.
I could go on for hours with all the little things that I do that help me manage my stress at this time of the year, but I should get back to writing this paper that I have due tomorrow.
