I almost got my labret pierced today. The main thing that stopped me though was that Thanksgiving is coming up and I'll be visiting my family whom of which doesn't look so well upon piercings. Everytime I get one they say "Why do you do that? Don't get anymore..."

My mom is an all-natural girl. Yoga instructor, meditation, vegetarian; the works. So according to her,...

That's a good idea.. I have to hide my tattoos from my mother.. she hates them.

Your body is a temple...your personal temple, a unique temple, so you should decorate accordingly. Put on what you like...add to the creativity and uniquness of the vessel and the soul inside will thrive. For some people, lack of decoration IS the decoration...natural is a style in and of itself. For others, well, some of us like a bit more color, a bit more flash smile

It's what's inside that matters...we all know that. But it's easier to love what's inside when you like what's on the outside as well. That's a basic rule of self-esteem...and plastic surgery. And I like piercing's and ink much better than botox and fake tits. smile

So I'm trying to think of some ideas for my first set for SG. Anyone got any? Perhaps something you'd like to see but never have or a certain theme you particularly like.

Well, as a photogrpaher, I can't give out all my ideas wink , however I'll hand you this freebie: To go along with color contrast and vibrant colors, and seeing how this is the fall, something with autumn leaves would offer great color variety as well as contrast both between the reds, yellows and oranges, but also with your dark hair.

Add accessories like a 3/4 length fall jacket (a peacoat type jacket, maybe), a colorful scarf, and maybe a knit beanie, and it's a great ensemble. And you could make the shoot work both indoors and outdoors.

Just an idea.

I seem to have become obsessed with SG. I guess this isn't necessarily a bad thing, but it does put a hamper on the rate at which I get my homework done.

Soooo I applied to be a SG and to my surprise I was accepted, Yippeee!! Now I have to find a photographer to hook me up with a kick ass set of photos.

Thanks!

It's not a town though. It's an area within Queens. =)

Yeah. This place can suck your life away.
Congratulations on getting accepted! biggrin Hey, it's a bit of a drive, but I have a good friend in New Haven that might be able to do a set for you. She's kathrynn.
I'm just too far away, myself. frown

ps. The etiquette on here is to respond to the other person's journal. Seems a little backwards. But then they can see all their responses without searching everyone's journal.

Something I've noticed about SG is everyone seems to dishout the same comment all the time. "Amazing set" "You're so hot!!" blah blah blah. How boring. Sure there's a shit ton of girls and lots of sets a person would want to comment on, but surely there are certain things about the set that you like that you could point out?

Like...In Voltaire's video Petals....

My take...some of those people are just here for the T n' A and/or looking to pay a quick compliment. Not that they're all insincere, just...lacking.

I think the more sincere comments are made by those into the girls as a whole and not just the sum of their "parts"; into the entire look and beauty of the SG style. This also includes the way in which the girls are portrayed via the talent of some of the photographers, which contributes a lot to the overall "look" of a set.

Just my thoughts.

Man all the girls I end up liking the most are the inactive ones. Whys it gottah work that way?? I ran into Voltaire and thought "Oh wow she kicks ass" and only after I added her and had looked at her sets did I notice the "No longer active" in big red letters.

My computer is getting all fucked up. Thanks a lot spyware....

Do you ever take a shower not because you need to but because you hope it will wash away how shitty you're feeling sometimes? It happens to me a lot when I get bummed out. I get this overwhelming urge to shower and of course, it doesn't really help.

I also have this urge to change everything. Well, not everything but at least make some...

I've got a paper to write that's due tomorrow and I have yet to start it. I also have 13 drawings to finish before Tuesday. Instead though I'm staring at beautiful girls on SG and sulking. Am I a procrastinator? Yes, yes I am.

I think I'm the world's top procrastinator. How I got my degree in English Lit, which requires a lot of writing to get done, I'll never know!

I had a conversation with a friend the other day about religion and dinosaurs. What do Christians think of them? How do they factor them into their religion? Especially when denying that evolution happened.

We didn't come up with any ideas but we did have some good laughs at the thought of Christians denying that dinosaurs were ever real.

For me, I see a god-like thing in nature everything grows in numbers petals on a flower, etc. etc. something like all fives and eights, don't remember exactly. There is a definite order to nature and that's where I see the god thing. As for as being raised Catholic, (broke with the church after confirmation) I see the bible as a comic book with great moral teachings. Anyone that denys the dinosaurs existence deserves a laugh in my book, maybe not a pointed finger and head thrown back laugh, but a laugh all the same. Our great leader(extreme sarcasm) doesn't believe in evolution, what's his stand on the dinosaurs?? And what does that say for our country.

I've never liked making introduction entries so I'll just get right down to it.

I've recently broken up with my boyfriend of six months and originally we thought we would be fine as friends but as we continued to hang out we realized that this just wasn't the case. He's too attached and wants to get over me and won't be able to without taking...

I completely understand where you are coming from. I've been dealing with a similar "ex-turned-friend" situation for the last year, and I feel like it's made it more difficult than breaking up is supposed to be. But I'm not sure cause going the "quit cold turkey" seems to make life a mess as well.

Sigh....I think I'll become a Eunich.
