I had an interview today and I have one tomorrow. It's nice to be wanted again even if it is in corporate America. Both are research positions which are rather blah but the one tomorrow could pay significantly more because it is a consulting gig. It is doing basically the same boring shit I've done for the last four years and so desperately don't want to get sucked back into again if I can help it. The one I had today went really well and they contacted me to check references. That is a good sign because it means I'm a finalist for the job which is part time doing database management. Yes, I'm a geek, feel my awe.
Today's Interview:
The interview was tag team with both ladies peppering me with questions which is far better than one on one interviews where you have to talk to four or five people and they all ask you the same dumb shit over and over again. The funny part was that they kept coming back to ask me about my massage business and all sorts of things about how I got into it and so forth. In all, the interview only took twenty minutes and I think they had sort of made up their mind before they called me in and just wanted to see how I interviewed. I have excellent references so it won't be a problem to land ths one if I want it.
I like that it is a casual environment in the office and I'd have the luxury to work out of my house if I wanted. The office is also convienent to where I go to school so that's a plus.
Tomorrow's Interview:
This one is much less formal. I'd actually be helping to write my own position and working with the guy who would be hiring me, someone I used to work with, to formulate what I'd be doing and how much it would cost them. Gotta love gigs like that. With this one I'd likely get to work when I wanted but I'd have much firmer deadlines than with the position I interviewed for today. Basically, the draw to this job is working with someone I liked from my old job and making a buttload of cash which I kinda need these days.
Anyone have an opinion? Not saying I'll take it but I'm kinda stuck about which position to take.
Fun Topic:
I am really having fun here. There are lots of really cool and funny people and the girls, members and SGs alike are all so gorgeous. I just wish I had more friends on here. Anyway, time to go have some more fun, catch y'all later.
