And when I find myself, the light is in my eyes. It casts across my vision in shards and I am lost for a moment. But then the band, a monster creeps up behind- sometimes lumbering and sometimes tip-toeing- and I am taken by their gravity. I swing to and the pulse of the monster takes over. The petty concerns of the everyday are gone and there is only the monster's pulse and the anger and the love and I let it all out. It comes out in jerks and spasms and glides for a moment before falling to the floor. That's where I leave it. I couldn't take it home. I couldn't live with it.
