Well, it's been awhile, I seem to only manage on average one update a month, but I guess that is okay.
It is actually almost one year to the day that I lost my job as a graphic designer, but you know what? I am now happy I did. School is going great, and I feel like, I fit again. I miss graphic design a bit, which is why I still freelance, and run my etsy shop, but I don't miss my old job at all.
In other job news; my part time job is... okay, but not great. The new partner is a really nice guy, but unfortunately, him and the boss have cut everyone's hours down. They still want me on contract (as I have been) to do all the photographic and graphic areas of the business, but right now, how often they have me in the shop, is completely up in the air. The problem is that now things I would come in and do while working, I now have to come in and do on my own time- for just the contract rate- so I end up making less money. I have to come in on my own time to scan and print orders, and call clients with quotes- I even have to trust other co-workers to quote items in certain situations (and they have no idea what they are doing) and that directly effects my livelihood. Not to mention, customers don't have access to me to ask me questions, or get my opinion on things- so the new partner expects me to come in on my own time if a client has a concern.
The bottom line is, with school, I need a steady, predictable income. I think I need to go have a chat with my bosses, and quite possibly, start another part time job.
So what else have I been up to? Well for one... reading a lot for class, and trying my best to ace assignments. Oh, in free time?
I am totally and hopelessly addicted to Glee and Mad Men.
If you are like me, and jump on the bandwagon a little late on these things, now is the time to jump on- they are great shows!
Also reading- I have a list a mile long, and I have found my Christmas wish item:
I resisted the idea of an e-reader for so long. I love the feel of a book in my hands, but I also like not having stacks of books all over every surface because I have nowhere to store them. So I am giving in, and this is on my wishlist this year!
So everyone- what fall shows are you lovin this year?
Oh and before I forget, my "vintage SG" set choice is below:

The photo you posted! I definitely remember her, but blanking on her name. Is the vintage set thing a thing, or just something you decided to do?
Let me know how you like the Kindle. I've eyed them before, but basically came to the conclusion that since I get the majority of my books from the library these days, it wouldn't be very beneficial
