So today was the day I got to pick my courses for school. I drove up so that I could participate in an Academic Advising workshop and make sure I did everything right. I'm glad I did. Two of the courses I wanted to register for, I couldn't because technically, I'd be taking the pre-req at the same time as the courses- which you need special permission to do. So this was something unexpected. So I had to write the head of the department and explain why I should be able to take one or both courses, and now, I wait.
On the way home, I started to think though- rather than saving the space in my timetable for the courses- I should register for one of my backups. So... I registered for an Art course (since I need to have one anyway) and I am glad I did! One of the other classes I was waiting on, filled in the mean time. So now, instead of Children's Lit (which I really wanted), I'm taking Intro to Drawing- still pretty cool.
Now I have to wait to hear about the other course- and I am really hoping to get in to it, or I may be forced into taking some English courses over the summer just to stay on track in my program.
On the up- I managed to weasel my way into another section of a certain course- so I don't have to wake up at 5:30 in the morning to get to campus anymore. I have a four hour gap between classes- but now- I can just drive out to the lake and hang out there during that time (pretty sweet study spot). The time between classes way beats having to be up so early- I am NOT a morning person.
Anyway... off of school, now that it's pretty much sorted out, and onto pictures!
My adorkable sisters. I love them dearly, and clearly, they got all the looks
I took this one on the deck (and yes, this is where I will get to chill between classes):
