I feel like I never update this thing enough, but I guess it's because I want to fill it with lots of good stuff, and some pictures, rather than every little thing (that's what twitter is for).
So...
First thing's first, I hope everyone had a fabulous long weekend.
So this time, there is no painting update only because the changes I made are so small, I didn't think it was worth posting. The one thing about an oil painting is you have to be so patient because you can not paint on top of paint until it drys, unless you are planning to blend things. So next blog, I promise.
I've had a busy week. I went up to look at my top choice for University in the fall with my mom on Wednesday- after putting my car in the shop, thinking I had a broken strut, and simply needed that fixed and my winter tires taken off- not the case. On the way up, my mechanic phoned me and told me that it wasn't my strut- but my brakes that needed done. My back brakes are completely wasted- to do front, back, tires, etc was going to be $1200.
Working part time, and saving up for school, I don't have that kind of money. It also passed the threshold that I told myself I was willing to spend on this car since it was so old. However the only way to get the car out of the shop was to do the back brakes- or tow it home. So I opted to fix the back brakes, which will buy me enough time to shop for a new car, or fix the front brakes.
The problem is, there are more repairs looming around the corner (big ones), so really my only choice is to let go, and get a new car. I can't have one that is going to die on me when I need it so much- like for school.
Which brings me to the school tour. I was impressed and so comfortable that I have made my choice. Off to get my English degree now
Touring my school also meant that I was close to my mom's place that she is building on the lake. So- pictures! (Spoilered for space).

I also got to hang out with one of the franchise owners I worked with while I was at the paper. So much fun! I missed her so much, and when I told her I'd be going to school in her neighborhood next year- I think I made her day.
Now it's off to print wedding invites and samples for my shop in prep for the busy season!
