I am waiting to hear from the doctor some test results and it is a little nerve wracking. Don't worry, I don't have anything serious- in fact right now I'm not sure I have anything.
I'm getting tested to see if I have hypothyroidism, which is a metabolic disorder. Basically it does a whole wack of things to screw you up- and I have a whole wack of it's symptoms.
I've gained a ton of weight between last year and this year, despite the fact that I have been eating better than before. I can't seem to lose weight even though I am eating very little (because I have no appetite) and I go to the gym about 4 times a week. I'm always cold and I used to be the person who was always warm. Like, wear my Birkenstocks in January warm. I have low blood pressure- which is okay for my age- but another symptom. The list goes on.
I just want to know what is going on so that I can do something about it. I got a blood test done to check and see what's up and I haven't heard anything yet. Here, this means nothing, sometimes you can hear from your doctor right away, and sometimes you don't for months. If I don't have hypothyroidism, I don't know what is going on or what I am going to do to try and get my weight down to where it used to be. I've never been tiny, I don't want to be, but I'm not 100% happy with the weight gain I've experienced- mainly because I think it could be a symptom and later a cause of health problems.
I feel so torn. I'll feel absolutely lost if this doesn't get to the bottom of things, but I'm not looking forward to being on medication for the rest of my life.
I'll call the doctor tomorrow. Sorry for being a huge downer.
So on the upside of things. School is going great, I just got a really good evaluation from my teacher and oddly enough I was most exited and happy to see what she said about me when it came to my professionalism. She said;
"Your cheerful, outgoing personality will be a positive asset to any design team. You exhibit a level of professionalism and confidence in your abilities and your work to date has shown well- developed creativity as well. You are open to suggestions and willing to share your strengths with others."
What an ego boost eh?

I was getting worried about you, cuz I haven't heard from you in awhile.
I left you a testimonial. It's kind of lame and embarassing.
I'm really glad that school is going well.
Hope your health is okay. If you have to take medication, don't worry too much about it. If it helps you get your weight under control, and manage any other symptoms, that's the important thing.
