So on Saturday I got hit by a car.
Okay so that sounds way dramatic, but the fact is I really did get hit by a car. I am fine though. The worst of it is that I twisted my ankle when I kind of rolled off the bumper/hood of the car. Now it's all purple and bruised and swollen hurah!
Anyway I was just leaving work, and crossing Yonge Street- for those outside of Ontario, sorry that you probably don't know what this means. It's just- a very busy street. I was at the corner of the mall parking lot and the lights on Yonge.
I got the walk signal and checked over my shoulder before I stepped off the sidewalk. One car hadn't stopped (jackass) so I had to let him by. Then, I didn't see anyone else. I stepped off the curb and suddenly an early model gold, rusted piece of junk was smashing into my side. My hips and legs took the blow and my body just kind of rolled out of the way. If I had taken even a step furthur into the intersection I don't think I would have rolled, and I probably would have ended up under the car.
The best part- the driver knew he hit me, didn't stop and in fact sped up to get away from me and the slew of witnesses.
I hope his car explodes.
In other news, the job situation seems to have worked out. I am getting reduced hours at my new job starting October. Yay!

She was on her bike and got hit - and the guy just sped off, leaving her there on the ground with her mangled bike.
There were witnesses and people called the cops - but no one got a license plate - so that wasn't very helpful.
Glad you're ok!
Glad your job situation is good now though.
