Things have been a little hectic around here lately. I had a job interview the other day and I REALLY hope I got the job. I have $20 in my bank account right now-- I don't know what I'm going to do if I'm not working soon.
North Carolina was awesome. The beaches on Hatteras Island where we went were almost completely deserted. It was the perfect vacation for Adam and I-- no people to bother us. We went out on the beach every night and drank beer under the stars. We went swimming everyday and cooked all our food on the grill. We went kayaking and hiking. It was very peaceful and simple and relaxing. I got horribly sunburned, stung by jellyfish, attacked by mosquitos, and bit by a crab. I have a million freckles from being out in the sun. I wish we were still there.
The weather people had us worried about hurricane Gaston, but we didn't get a drop of rain (by the time it got up to us the storm had moved too far inland.)
While we were out of town the cops found Adam's car. It was mostly unharmed-- some scratches, and the steering wheel was sawed in half (to get the club off I guess.) Apparantly the guy who stole it had decided to keep it and was in the process of installing a new sound system-- there were all these new speakers in the trunk. The cops didn't notice those-- score!! He's going to have to go to court next month to testify (juvenile court, apparantly, which doesn't really surprise me.)
My sister and her boyfriend are leaving tomorrow to go on this cross country scooter trip. I have no earthly idea why anyone would want to ride a scooter all the way across the country, but there's this big group of people who are doing it, and she and her boy are following in this pimped out van (they were showing us all the fancy features he installed the other night) to provide tech support. They're going to be gone for a month. I'm jealous.
