Strange day...

Just got back from a mate's wedding - he's just got hitched to the girl he originally went out with at Uni then split up with and then got back together with. Good luck to the both of 'em I say, it's actually quite sweet imo.

(although mind you I could've told quite a few stories about his exploits in the time between their first time dating and the second but nah, that would've been a bit mean and anyway I do genuinely believe the guy's happy and settled with her)

Quite strange catching up with some of my old Uni mates, a fair few of whom I haven't seen since we left Stoke-on-Trent to go our separate ways a good four years ago (Christ, saying that makes me feel old ). Most of 'em are still pretty much the same as ever but in a couple of cases, they've found steady girlfriends and steady jobs and settled down a lot. Strangely, the ones who seem to have gone down this route are the ones who were the wild ones during our student days. Make of that what you will...

In other news, not much to report. Still on the job search, had an interview this morning but ain't particularly hopeful about it to be honest. Ah well...

But some good news, I definitely will be at the Scala meet to see various UKSG's doing their Burlesque thang next Saturday. Bring it on!

Will update again on Monday as I'm off to Cardiff on Sunday to hopefully see the gallant lads in blue do a "David vs Goliath" job on Sheffield Wednesday and claim a place in the top half of the English football league for the first time ever. COME ON YOU POOLS!!
