MOOD: Not so bad thanks.
LISTENING TO: Mega City Four "Wallflower"
So...just got back from a 12-8 shift. Which is a bit of a git frankly but at least it's only one Friday out of four I have to do it. Today started crap as I was dreading the shift and have also found out (yet again) that yes, my account status really is as bad as I think and yes, the bank are out to get me again. Sigh...
But...y'know, it wasn't so bad. I think it's because once you get the bit between your teeth and get ploughing through the calls, you just forget that the world's out there enjoying itself while you're stuck in the office. Also, finding a copy of "Burning Ambitions 2" (superb punk compilation on Anagram records) and Billy Bragg's "Back To Basics" album for a fiver each in the local second hand record emporium helped.
I was gonna do a big sort of "part one of a serial" tonight about my musical journey through life after reading something while browsing on the net at work today but you'll have to wait till Sunday I'm afraid as precious drinking time is slipping away and I do intend to get down the pub at some point.
But anyway, hope everyone's okay, I'll do a couple of journal comments etc when I get in (and apologies in advance for any "four pints" comments I make hehe
).
Have a good weekend you lot, see ya on the other side (of the weekend that is)
