Monday comes crashin' in
And all the world looks grey again
Faces on the train seem grim
When yesterday the same were smiling
Another week to kill
Another week where time stands still
And shuffling masses feel the chill
That comes with their routine
The working scene...
The Wildhearts - "Weekend (Five Long Days)"
Well, a decent enough weekend I s'pose. Friday trip to the pub, Saturday trip to the footy (and a much-needed 1-0 away win) and Saturday night going to a local ska disco and jiving away to the Beat and the Specials. All good fun.
The downside is that again I seem to have over-spent this weekend - my calculations are that I need to keep my budget down to 50 a week for the rest of this month. Which, what with having one (possibly two) away games to go to, quite a few gigs (albeit small ones), a birthday pub crawl, a potentially astronomic phone bill and needing to send a 20 cheque to a mate to go on a stag do which I'm not particularly keen on in the first place, could well be very difficult. This month looks like being another very long one.
Hopefully I should hear back in the next couple of days regarding the situation over the job interview - I just really hope it's gone my way. To say my spirits are at an all-time low in my current job would be an understatement - the sooner I'm off to pastures new the better.
Anything else? Nah, I think that's about it.
