I just typed up a huge entry and completly lost it so now you have to deal with the short version.
FUCK EVERYTHING!!!!!!!!
I just had the most amaising weekend, and it has nothing to do with the oppisite sex.
A band I'm in played Sarah Lawerence college on Friday night and it was one of the best shows I've ever played. The show started w/ people just standing there listening and ended with everyone daincing. I've never seen a show at a college (that wasn't a jam band or ska) where people dance. People dont dance to indie rock.
The show was completly crazy, I'm not gonna get back into now after having typed it and lost it.
Saturday we all hung out in the city and had a blast, I then met a friend from HS for dinner and drinks and had a blast with her too.
WIth what we got paid I just got paid to take a vacation to NYC.
I miss the north horribly. Its all cold and wonderful up there and of course it is not in FL.
On a completly unrelated note, one of the members of my band, Matt, met a girl after the show and then went back to Princeton NJ with her on Saturday. They had a wondeful time, hung out, he slept at her house. He of course spent the entire car ride home talking about her and crushing on her. He kept talking and the only thing he said he regretted was that he didnt kiss her goodbye when she dropped him off at the train station. This got me thinking.

Dates are nice, Crushes are nice.
I was reminded of what it was like to have a crush as a child (note it wasn't me but my bandmate). Back when times were simpler and the most you had to worry about happening on a date was maybe a kiss goodnight and that was a bigger achievement, and meant more to you than most sex is.
I miss that feeling.
I can barley remember the last time I felt that. Its been too long.
