Woke up at 7:45 hung over. Took dog to vet for grooming. Fell back asleep. Got a call from work because of a screw up. That always puts me in a wonderful mood. I am not a fan of screwing up.
Got bullied into running a D&D game. Normally, this would be a good thing, as being King Dork is one of the few things in this world I absolutely excel at. However, only one of the people playing do I really like to any great degree, and several of them I've played with on prior occasions and hated it. Still, I'm willing to give it a chance - running games has always unlocked creativity and lead to more writing. (Since I recently abanonded all pretense of being a writer, I think a creative rejuvination might be a good thing.)
Took an extended leave last week, where I went to gulfport MS with my friend and a couple of her friends. Fun, in general, and getting away from all the moderately stressful people I associate with did wonders to lift my mood. Two disappointments: 1. Did not get a picture of self with 321 DUIs This Year! Some People Never Learn! 2. Only got one matchbook. I am a piss poor matchbook collector - I always forget)
Ended up reading 2.5 books: Summerland (Michael Chabon), Kiln People (David Brin), and Titus Crow, pt1 (Brian Lumley) Reading is good for the soul.
Apparently one of my exes is coming into town for work/school a couple of times this summer. That should be absolutely interesting.
My most recent ex came by to give me a pile of computer stuff she was going to give to goodwill. Mostly it was junk, and I got annoyed/bored trying to put the parts together into something that actually worked. (since I have no pressing need for another computer, and mine is way better than anything she brought, it was hard to be really motivated.) I got 2 more monitors out of it, at least. Oh and a drafting lamp. Oh, and a big honkin' spider that crawled out of one of the machines.
At least I managed to score some weed: I was getting down to dregs. (Oh, how I miss the halcion days of yore, when I was surrounded by KB and moderate weather!)
I ought to use this journal more to complain about the people I associate with in meatspace.
WHO WILL WIN?

weed is good. I try not to get down to the dregs if I don't have to. I can find some seriously nice stuff, but I refuse to pay that much. fuck that.
I'm still trying to figure out why you requested my friendship, other than you have met me, and now seen me naked?
SGTN is good folks, most of em. My pal Chuck was one helluva cat, but he's gone, and my girlfriend is too. A lot of my friends have left the site, and I talk to them other places.
blah blah blah
