Didn't run today. . . Monday is becoming my traditional skip day, although this morning it had nothing to do with being hung over. I put off doing homework until the very last minute, so I had to wake up and drive to school. Tonight I have to finish up my portfolio to turn in tomorrow. Tomorrow, all and all, is going to be a rough day. It's my other friend's going away party - dirty secretaries and sleezy bosses theme. Since I have to wake up to go to work tomorrow, turn in my portfolio, then cobble together my research plan design for wednesday, I doubt I'm going to be terribly happy. It's my own damn fault, of course.
In other news, my ex girlfriend is coming to visit on Friday for an unknown length of time. To say this is strange is a bit of an understatement. I hadn't talked to her in at least six months, and probably a whole lot longer. Appeared out of the blue on IM the other day, we talked for awhile, and we talked about seeing each other "sometime." To me, this means "sometime eventually and possibly never" and to her it apparently meant "tomorrow." Just sort of odd, to my way of thinking, to have someone you haven't seen in a year or more decide out of nowhere to spend a week at your house. Of course, since everyone I know just about will be in Oklahoma helping Friend #2, at least it'll give me something to do.
It also means I'm now *obligated* to visit Knoxville at some point. Considering I won't have to sleep on my friend's couch with three insanely pushy cats adds flavor to the deal.
After this week, I'll be the happiest boy in the world! Also, I've decided that the onset of winter necessitates me growing a beard, even though it makes me look like a deranged homeless person (according to my mother). Still, I've come to realize that all writers need beards. Just one of those things.
