Last night was steak night, minus one. (Who was in St. Louis for a VH concert) After steak went to RP Tracks and ran into my most recent ex. (An event I predicted occuring) Far more awkward than it should have been, primarily because she (I think) has this feeling that it *needs* to be awkward.
Sort of makes me sad, since we had a really good friendship once upon a time and, for that matter, I gave up a best friend to go out with her. Life is so funny and melodramatic.
Girl I've occasionally made out with was also there. She's leaving town in 11 days, which is probably a good thing. That whole situation is a little strange and awkward, too. Don't really know why and, frankly, I'm not terribly motivated to figure it out.
Two of my regular running crew are gone from today through Sunday. That leaves me with lots of nothing to do, so I guess I can work on this (useless, waste of time, obnoxious fucking) portfolio and other various school stuff. Tomorrow, maybe. Certainly not today.
Been reading a lot again. Go through phases, looks like I've gone from "Getting High and Playing Hitman2/Getting High and Watching Buffy" in my spare time to "Reading A Whole Lot" in my spare time. Good because I've been negelecting books and also good because I think I've been getting high a little too much recently.
Also, I wouldn't be reading at such a rate if I didn't have two TC Boyle books to read. Nothing like the recommendation of a cute girl to make me go buy a book. What a sap.
Also Also, I'd be watching more Buffy if I didn't just finish it off earlier this week. Sometime soon I'll have to go back and watch all the commentary tracks for S1-7.
Turns out I'm not going to Knoxville for the wedding. One of my friends is moving away shortly and that's her going away party. All in all, I actually like her quite a bit better than the guy getting married, and a twenty minute drive beats the hell out of a six hour one. I need to get out there again sometime soon, though. Maybe in September.
[Edit] PS: Turns out I have a little bit of extra floating around cash, plus another $300 (theoretically) coming from my Ex. It is very, very, very difficult not to spend it all on anime DVDs. Must save, not spend!
