No thanksgiving festivities, save a low key affair with my mom and stepdad. Did take the vacation to finally finish my story. (Novelette, actually, according to the SF&F guidelines). As in Finish finish. V nice. Of course, I'm afraid it's impossible to follow for anyone without an advanced degree in history and/or literature and willing to take copious notes, but I gotta have faith that I can at least string together a coherrent narrative. Even a *very* non-linear, multi-setting, multiple POV story with several non-narrative components. At least I can say it's my most complicated story, even if it is just a pile of steaming horse pucky.
Also, Storm of Swords just made me Agog. It happens at least once in every book of his. Bah! At least his mechanics are cliched!

Especially thanks for the direction on the "Conversation" story I'm working through. When I read your comment, it was like a beam illuminated a shadow and that "aaawwwwuuuuuhhhh" note played and I smacked my forehead and went OF COURSE! Of course I'm not writing him as the angry Christian! He's NOT one!
I like you; you actually read and you actually write, and those are the only two things I ACTUALLY care about.
