*******The tattoo Convention, DAY 2*******
Hmm.... what to say.... I got yet another tattoo today... this one is based on the iron butterfly I drew (aka skull with butterfly wings) The talented (and fucking funny as hell) Jet from Love Hate tattoo's in NY took it and cleaned up the drawing a bit, we made it less of a "day of the dead" kinda skull, and more "wierd demonic.... way I draw them" kinda look. it turned out rather stunning, despite my having to suddenly stop and jump up for my bracket of the tattoo contests twice (no trophies for me >.< ) My initial black and grey concept became black and grey, with a bit of a red background, became all that, with some yellow on the wings. again I say, fucking awsome guy, bloody good work as well.
I also threw down my deposit for what should be a 3-ish hour sitting to get yet another piece on the other arm. (one a day baby, yeah!) any of you somehow happen to wander into the convention early (I start at noon) stop by the Hot Rod Tattooing booth (tis in the center isle by the walkthrough) and say hi.
This is turning into the race to go broke as fast as possible, lol. $300 for the royo piece, $200 for the iron butterfly, gonna be another $300 for tomorrows piece. $40 for the piercings, another $60 or so at corner booth (ok, so I forgot it's name) patches, buttons, and some sailor Jerry stuff.... a Highball glass (basic tumbler) a single shot glass, and the boxed set of 4. ... $25 for admission (3 day pass) a good $30 on booze ($6 mixers) counting lunch both days and a tank of gas, I've dropped a solid thousand and change, lol. But that's the fun, after all, it comes only once a year. (and after all, that's what income tax refunds are for.... shit you can't afford =P )
Again, off to bed cause I have an early date with a humming machine.
Acid.
