Work has become quite amusing. I went against all my rules, and was dating one of the secretaries in the office. Very awkward, as we decided to keep it quiet, and not let anyone know. As it turned out, the guy who worked right next to mehad a big crush on this particular secretary, and she told me he kept on pestering her... so my suggestion was to just tell him that she was seeing me. She REFUSED to do this. This struck me as odd.
As time went on, I discovered that he was texting her all the time, and I am quite sure they were even seeing each other after work. Then she tells me that his ex was giving her abusive phone calls and text messages???!!! I was so shocked, especially to think if this was so, then why would she tell me? I tend to have a terrible temper, but I managed to keep calm. I asked her the obvious questions... why the hell does his ex have her phone number? Why would she send you abusive txt messages? She tells me "Oh, it's because she read one of my text messages on Justin's phone". She claims the message was innocent. I like to believe people, because I cannot comprehend why people lie. But I realised she is possibly lying quite a lot. I dumped her after only two months, but let me say, it was two months of hell.
She told me her parents owned a yacht, and she was allowed to take it and use it for parties whenever: Lie possibility - 82.3%
She told me she OWNED two houses (she is 21 years old, and she is living in a place where she pays rent in North Sydney): Lie possibility - 92.6%
She told me one weekend when I tried to call her, and she never answered that she had taked 4 extacy pills and spent the entire weekend in hospital (I had only told her about different drug experiences i had only a week earlier... she has never touched ANY drugs) - Li possibility - 94.1%
She told me she wasn't seeing the guy I work with after work hours, although I know he walks her to the bus stop all the time, stays back at work waiting for her some nights. I asked her about these things when we were seeing each other, and she just outright denied anything, even though I have SEEN them together. Lie possibility - 99.99%
She told me that she loves me. The biggest lie of all. Lie possibility - 100%... no, make it 110%, I am convinced she hates me.
I do not like calling people liars. But I don't know what to think. Now that we are broken up, she is making my life hell at work.
Tell me this though... How can a person look another person in the eye, and make up a complete and utter lie? I tend to exagerate things a lot, and often get small facts wrong in my mind, but I don't make up these incredible tales fabricated from nothing but imagination.
She is being so incredibly cold towards me, I have decided I am just going to be extra nice (although that can be a challenge!). I am not going to be made to look like an arsehole in my work environment (well, I am an arsehole... but I prefer people to no know that )
I had to share that. I've got nothing better to do but bitch right now!
