I am in Melbourne. Melbourne is nice, but I want to go back to Sydney. I am a Sydney boy, even if it doesn't have trams (I can't call that lightrail piece of crap a tram. I choose to deny it's existance). Melbourne actually has a similar feel to Sydney I think anyway, but much less busy, and not as cool, because I don't live there.
I think I just hate having to make 5 minute friends. You meet someone talk to them, they disappear, so you meet someone else, talk to them then they disappear... and so on. It's all lovely meeting new people, but I guess I like to hold on to friends rather than meet all these people I won't have anything to do with again.
I went to the opening of this club called Bang! It was ok. The venue was actually good, at the Royal Melbourne Hotel (I think that is what it was called), and the drinks were cheap. Melbourne needs to learn about schooners though. Whats the deal with all these pots? A Pot is a midi. Schooner schooner schooner. Schooner is better. A Pint is too much, a pot is too little but a schooner is just right.
I met this girl at Bang! and at first she seemed nice. We kissed as drunkards do in these situations, and we chatted for quite a while. Then she asked me about my pants. I have to admit, it's not often I am questioned about my pants. Actually, let me say I have NEVER been questioned about my pants until this point. She asked me where I got them. I laughed and told her I got them from K-Mart for $19.95. Then the little devil glared at me, and stormed off. What the fuck? That's insane. And hell, when I think of it, I don't think I even got them from K-Mart... it was Target, and they were $24.95. My K-Mart daks were in the wash. What a bitch.
For everyone's info, I love to shop at K-Mart and Target. I am not paying more than $30 for an item of clothing. Thats ridiculous. That sort of money is better spent on beer. Oh, and thats SCHOONERS of beer Melbourne.
I'll be back in Sydney next Friday. Woohoo I can't wait. I am at work at the moment, so I'd better stop writing this or someone will see me.

i just had a client the other day at work from new zealand, and she was talking about how australia is much more fun than new zealand hehe. she said the place to party is sydney and the more artsy place to go is melbourne... any validity in that statement? because i want to hit the art scene really if i go.
yeah, i'm still doing the vocal lessons- and the muscle relaxants that my doctor gave me to loosen up my jaw has really helped a lot. go figure.
