Ok that's it, I definitely have to update this thing already. Why haven't I written anything since before Christmas? I guess it was a combination of a lack of time, ambition, and conciousness. Every night I'd plan to do it and wake up realizing I hadn't. There was also the knowledge that my next journal would have to recap moments of the last year; yet everytime I think about the last year, my body reacts unfavorably. So, if you want to know how my year was, it's all documented for you in previous entries.
Instead, I'm going to talk about December. I liked December. December was the month when I decided to take it upon myself to more actively socialize with people on this site that I've found interesting for a while. As such, December was also the month my friends list doubled with a number of invariably cool people that I have the pleasure of calling friends.
December started off with a certain thread that led me to talk to, among others, my commanding officer of disco dancing; Fenchurch. Her acerbic wit, incomparable geekiness, and lovely joints make her one of my favorite people right now. Somehow, I feel better about being a ridiculous human being on the site knowing she's got my back; so I thank her for that. Also, sorry Fen but I overslept today and therefore couldn't will your set to go up as I'd planned. I just can't get the hang of Thursdays.
I've also had the pleasure of becoming further acquainted with Kelland, one of the most interesting people I've met on this site. If you don't have her bookmarked and marvel at her journal entries like I do, you're doing yourself a great disservice. Her prose is as beautiful as her pictures, and I look forward to the day I can both add her to my fav SG list (when she finally applies) and have her sign my copy of her first published work. Also, I think you should join me in convincing her to dye her hair red.
December also saw one of my fav limbo girls go up, on my birthday no less, in one of the best composed sets on this site. Quite a present indeed. I recently went back and read all of Arete's journals (unfortunately only a couple months' worth) and it just reminded me why I left her my testimonial. The Great White North has far too many ridiculously awesome girls and something needs to be done about this. Plus, you can thank her for my updating, as she promised to whack me when I did
Other people I had the pleasure of getting to know a little better last month were Cassiopeia, the cutest fucking thing to ever sport a freckle; Poison, my favorite funnel cake-eating jail baiting vag troll; Eli, one of the most brutally honest, down to earth, and therefore beautiful creatures on this site; Posh, who is quite frankly perfect from her code to her photography to her um, the rest of her; Oryx, who I gleefully share my design aesthetic with among other things, has an uncanny ability to bring the best out of people she shoots, and is a pleasure to talk to; anonymouse, shattering my belief there isn't anybody interesting in my area; and Venice, who I've only not mentioned further because I think I'm starting to creep her out with all the attention.
So yeah, it was a good month, and I'm only further enjoying this one for the same reasons, which I guess is also partly responsible for my absence in entries. I think my lunch break ended like an hour ago, so I should probably end this now.
