For those of you astute enough (or bored enough) to notice my new location, you'll see I now live outside of Miami for the first time in my life.
Some pros:
1. I live walking distance from the beach and downtown Hollywood (clubs, restaurants, etc.).
2. I now have twice as many rock stations in my presets.
3. I live a lot closer to work; the commute is only 15 mins as compared to 45.
4. I have new furniture for the first time in 20 years.
5. I had to make much needed and much procrastinated changes in my life almost overnight, which is probably the best way to do it.
Some cons:
1. The neighborhood is kind of ghetto.
2. My family and everything I know is a half hour drive south.
3. I still can't get rid of the old musty smell from my apartment.
4. I've completely plundered my savings, and I'm not near done yet.
5. There's some things in my hometown that I'll never find here, or anywhere else.
Not a bad deal overall. I had 28 hours to pack up everything I own, find a place to live, and move. I think I did ok. If I get some time maybe I'll post about the many other notable events of the last week.

You honestly have no idea how flattered I get hearing that people enjoy reading what I write, and that they think I should do something with it. Considering I would love to write a book in the future, it's awesome knowing already that people are interested in reading what I have to say.
Hope you're having fun with the new apartment stuff!
And I totally didn't even catch that your voicemail message was of Ren & Stimpy! It was so loud on the train when I called, I could barely hear myself.
