So to update, I guess I can call yesterday my "fuck authority" day. First I get pulled over, and then I get kicked out of the A Perfect Circle concert I went to
They kicked me out for taking pictures with my camera phone, cause you know, maybe I could sell them with the awesome quality of the pics right? Anyhow, no biggie there was only a half hour left to the show and the only song I didn't hear and wanted to was Judith.
So here's some of the pics that got me booted. First is Burning Brides, who opened up for APC. "Arctic Snow" wasn't bad. The bass player was fucking hot too, wearing a dress but all sweaty with her dark red hair banging swishing back and forth. Girls with guitars
Next is Maynard in a box. He did the first few songs this way, with a light shining inside it to look all artsy and shit. Made it look like we were in a NIN video or something.
He was kinda funny though. The concert was held at Mizner Park in Boca Raton, which is a strip of fancy rich people stores with a threatre at the end. After the first few songs Maynard yelled, "WELCOME...TO THE MALL!!". He later asked for a latte from the Starbucks at one end of the strip.
The box finally came down, and of course that didn't help any, he was still in shadows for most of the show. The little black blob in the middle is him. This was actually one of the few times with lights actually shining.
And this is the pic that got me kicked out. At this point Maynard was stripping down and I think we saw more of him than I think I personally wanted to so that may have been it. That guy in the middle was my friendly escort out of the concert
On my way back to my car a security guard asked if I wanted to get back in, after I had been told I'd be arrested if I was seen again. Can someone say "entrapment"?
Overall not a bad time, I saw 2/3 of the concert, left without any traffic, and got to see a decent band. I used to call APC "Diet Tool" and still think they're not as good, but it was pretty cool to see Maynard and James Iha from Smashing Pumpkins and guys from NIN and Manson, since I never got to see any of those bands.
