Spring, bitches!!
Sorry, I just had to let that out. This is the view outside my window.
Yeah, that's right, that's the sun. And my apartment gets southern exposure so there's just this huge amount of light in my place right now and it's making me surprisingly happy.
I've now officially survived my first winter. I feel privileged to have been able to see my first snow day, since I know those don't come around here very often, and I kind of wish there had been more of those because it was crazy fun, but man am I happy spring is here.
I can finally turn the radiator off now, and at least be somewhat spared the incessant pot smoke that has permeated my place. Fucking potheads. Open a window!
Winter took some getting used to, and not in the ways that I thought. The cold wasn't too bad, and the rain wasn't as bad as everyone led me to believe, but my body still had to adapt a lot. For example, at one point I was seeing daylight for less than 4 hours a day, sometimes not at all for days thanks to my weird sleep schedule and the long winter nights. That meant a lack of Vitamin D, and it made me feel like shit a lot of the time.
Anyway, that's it for now, this is an interim journal entry so Erin doesn't get creeped out by being the subject of my previous journal for so long and to remove some guilt from promising Cassiopeia I'd update forever ago. Sorry.
Coming soon...the long delayed San Francisco update, Miami update, Why I Love Portland update, and selected quotes from this weekend's adventures with Sloane and company.
