Kristen & I recently embarked on a new adventure for both ourselves, and our relationship.
This past weekend was the 2007 electronic festival titled; "Eclipse". A four day outdoor music festival in the wild of Quebec. This year was located at the old radar base; "Mont. Radar" in St. Sylvestre, QC. Surrounded by mountains and trees, this protected wildlife land was the campground and celebration location to possibly thousands of some of the best people I have ever been surrounded by.
We arrived at 11A on Friday morning and met some most excellent people while waiting in line. These people happened to not only be from Toronto, but also tend to the same places and events as us, as well as know some of our own fellow kin. We had the great honour of camping with these people all weekend, which made the experience all that much greater.
With extreme humidity, harsh rain and downpours, along with extreme cold nights and intense sun, the weather was enough to make for a crazy experience. This, along with the pure exhausted state of Kristen & I, made for a pretty challenging weekend, one that we conquered greatly and still managed to quite enjoy.
I must say, despite being unprepared, crazy weather, and not being in the best of health, I thoroughly enjoyed the weekend. In fact, I cannot wait for next year. There are many things that I will do differently, equipment and preparation being the highest on that list, but with what I have learned from this year, I am sure that the next will be an even greater experience!
With such extreme weather, I was not able to taken early as many photos as I would have liked, but alas, there were some taken and they are now up!
