I've expressed some support for the second amendment in the past in an effort to be consistent with my support for the constitution as a whole. Liberals have a record of supporting the first amendment much more than the second, and conservatives are not always wrong to point out this slight hypocrisy.
I'd like to point out, however, that the constitution was written a few hundred years ago. Ideas haven't become more dangerous since then. Weapons have.

You can imagine that I'm bristling with state pride.
