Pictures of my home!

First, the before pictures:

SPOILERS! (Click to view)

And the new:

SPOILERS! (Click to view)

Living room. TV is inside the cabinet. Lots of random things on the shelves, from books to indian gods to anatomy tiles

Also the living room. The book on the coffee table is a fake, hollowed-out "Origin of Species" that I use to keep my keys and wallet. Don't rob me.

The... well, eating area. The shelves hold my antique poison bottles, mostly from the 1800s. Still adding to that collection, some are better than others.

It still hasn't arrived, but the door there will have a mural of bookshelves on it. So, when shut, it will basically look like a bookshelf built into the wall. But... 2D. Best I can do on my budget. One day, I will have a real secret passage, where you have to pull a specific book or turn a candle sconce or something to open it. But this is cool for now.

Kitchen. Not much else to say. Kitchen!

STILL KITCHEN OMG

My bed. Oh yeah. Now accepting reservations for viewings of the headboard. (I had to make the joke. Sorry.)

See my steampunk goggles on the nightstand? I have too much random shit.

Bathroom.

Shower. I get naked in here. That's for you, ladies. *double gun point* Now accepting reservations for viewings of.. okay, moving on.

My bathroom mirror as seen from the perspective of someone whose neck is fastened in the shackle installed in the wall.

No, really.

Really.

Okay, not really.

And the computer. Screensaver going. My atheist/skeptic/supernatural books on the top shelf, fiction and folklore books on the second shelf, RPG books on the third shelf, graphic novels on the fourth, and more RPG books on the fifth shelf. Can you name the RPG books by their spines? I could.

Still missing a couple details. Putting a console in the entryway, hanging something (don't know what yet) on the wall between the TV and door, and something on the kitchen wall to the right of the bedroom door. Lastly, and most important, the bedroom door will have a mural on it once it's done. There's going to be a very large mural of bookshelves on the door so, when closed, it will just look like a book case. Except... you know... not very 3D. But whatever, this is the closest I'll ever get to having a secret bookcase passage in my house.

tristane:
Nice place. I wish my shoe box of an apartment looked half as good. Then again, after last week I feel grateful for having a decent place at all.

I also saw your halloween photos. If I haven't mentioned it before, I think you are rather handsome. The costume helps, too. Everybody loves a good ghost story come to life. Apart from the victims, perhaps.

I wouldn't feel to bad about that. Bosnia was back in '92-'96 and I barely remember much about that myself, apart from random news report images of a rainy and gray Sarajevo. I was eight years old and remember thinking it was incredibly boring.
