Merry Christmas, everyone.
I may have fucked up. I've had a crush on my best friend's sister for a long while now. He's fine with it, and wishes she'd go out with me. I asked, she said no, we're all still cool. Last year, I gave her a Christmas present (really just gave her a book I already had, and technically it was a Festivus present) and I gave her a birthday present this year. She didn't get me a gift on my birthday or for that Christmas. So I figured, okay, she's not going to get me a gift and it'd probably just make her feel awkward if I gave her one, so I won't this year.
Well, she got me a gift. Or, at least, they say she got it for me. If she really did, she spent more on my gift than she did on anyone else's. Now I feel like a dick, and I'm wondering why she did that.
Is it to make up for the other gifts? Because I spent less combined on the gifts I've given her than on what she just gave me.
Or is her mind changing?
Guess we'll find out at my Festivus party this (technically next) year. Thank god for alcohol.
Keep us updated. And Merry Christmas your way too.
