It's just about midnight here (Friday night) and I'm about to hit the hay. I have to be at work at 8 in the morning. I may not go in as we're supposed to have some winter weather (freezing rain and 28 degree temps) and my piece o shit truck would never make it. My transmission is on it's last leg and needs to be replaced, but I'm not goig to replace it as the trans would actually cost more than my truck is worth. When I get my taxes back, I'm going to use that and some more $$$ that I have saved up and buy myself a new car (used but new to me). I was thinking of getting a Honda CRV, a Chrysler PT Cruiser, or sticking with a truck and getting either a Ford Ranger or a Toyota Tacoma. I've test driven a lot of cars recently and I like these the best so far.
If you have any other suggestions, let me know. Keep in mind that cars like Civics I don't like because I have long legs and I don't like climbing out of cars, I like stepping or sliding out of them like in bigger vehicles. I'm looking in a price range of around $12k to $16k. Nothing older than 2001.
