:: Day 18 of 2009::
This has been a really awkward week for me folks..... (2) funerals in less than a week.... I promised myself that I would NOT attend anymore funerals as last year - but DAMN IT, I broke that promise to myself.!
The first one was last Friday... My friend of over 10+ years (Paul), shot and killed himself on the 28th of December, yet no one knew of it until last Wednesday. This guy was only 30 years old and was a former Moto-Cross star who was in recovery from a bad accident from years ago.. No one even thought that he could, or would EVER take his own life - how could things bee that BAD?? He NEVER showed any signs of PAIN or PRESSURES in his life.. Who knew?? I didn't!
The last one was yesterday... My good friend Frank (73), a friend of mine of over (6) years had sucuumb to cancer within the last 6-8 months - finally gave in to the pressures of life itself... This guy was a TUFF OLF BIRD (if you know what I mean?) who had worked for BOEING for over 40+ years and retired only 8 years ago.. He was married for over 50 years to Mary (his first and only love) - lived in the same house for over 45 years (where they raised 3 kids) and has had the same phone number for over 58 years!!!
You know what? Frank had NEVER had CABLE TV or SATELLITE or anything like that - and he was RICH!!!! I could NEVER understand how come he didn't want it either?? Every 10 years (on the nose), he would go to the same HONDA dealer and buy a new car, CASH...!!! Like fuckin' clock work!!! He was definitely a CREATURE of HABIT - but that's what I respected about him too.....
Anyway, without keeping this day depressing - I just wanted to say "Rest In Peace" my homies....!!!!!
