under my clothes
from the soles of my feet
to the tip of my nose

i am naked
under my skin
there aren't many people
i'll allow to peer in

under my flesh
my soul thinks it's safer
inside that nest

under my bones
i know this body
is only on loan

i am naked
under the sky
she looks down upon me
and i wonder, "why?"

i am naked
beneath the stars
they dance in the heavens
so near yet so far

i am naked
in the aether
i'm not insubstantial
but not solid either

i am naked
between the realms
i steer between them
by taking the helm

i am naked
inside of my head
i travel unfettered
by none am i lead

i am naked
within my mind
i step outside often
to see what i'll find

i am naked
i am but a soul
my singular yearning
is to be made whole

i am the veritable
image of god
