Destination: Nowhere Near
The other day I'd had it up to my ears with my shitty hometown and pouting around the house, so lessthanthree, Sunny, and a reluctant Boy all drove on out to Berkeley. Sunny lives on Telegraph so we got late night pizza and went to our favorite venue (no one was playing) and hung out in the control room watching old webcasts of our favorite bands. Its a really nostalgic thing for us because most of our favorite local bands broke up soon after I left for school- Solemite, The KGB, Locale AM. I'm really sad that I didn't get to see The Matchesplay on my visit , but they are coming to my city next month and even if I have to go alone cause nobody knows them I will!
So much of my highschool life had to do with these bands. I never got to go to their shows as much as Cat and Sunny did because I wasnt very good at lying to my parents, but when we went it was always an adventure.
It was a perfect sunny day in the east bay even tho my hometown was gray and gloomy. I rarely miss highschool, but driving back home after wandering Telegraph in the morning, playing old recordings of The Matches, made me miss all that so much. I want to live there someday, down in the city or up in the hills. I only wished Boy had enjoyed it more. It sucks to be the only guy when girls are being Girls.

But then again doin donuts in the parkin lots and havin all kind of out of control drunken adventures...... i guess we are the reason they are closed
