I went and picked berries with my mom today. It was yummy and fun, except then I started thinking about the migrant workers who have to do this 8 hours a day all summer. I hate that - exploited people make up the backbone of our state's economy, and we don't do anything to make it better by offering immigrants legal citizenship. People die in the backs of trucks just trying to make it here, and we can't even welcome them.

But let's get back to the happy.
I'm gonna make some decadent dessert thing called trifle with cake, berries, rum, whipped cream and custard this weekend.
It's like sex in food form! confused

I'm staying home from a road trip with Jennifer this weekend so I can show the apartment ... so they better show up this time. confused

They are illegal because the government's too protectionistic to open up the economy and let them come in leagally.

By giving them citizenship, they'd be given right, would that not make it better for them?

and I would assume being able to make money to eat would be preferable to not having anything whatsoever to do and nothing what so ever to eat back from where they're from.

.there is noooo way i'd want someone as cute as you as my kids prescool teacher...no offense, but i'd be constantly making excuses to come in and, you know, 'check on their progress'. blush
