i did the hostel thing. i did the homeless thing for a while too. that was interesting. a few weeks ago i decided that i needed to spoil myself and go out to the coast for the weekend to unwind from the week of work; i had heard so many good things about the coast. so i hitchhiked out to the coast with a couple of people i had just met at a hostel. we arrived in seaside with about 20 minutes left of the sunset. it was my first time seeing the sunset over the ocean. we slept on the beach (police weren't too pleased with that) which was cold and wet, but still refreshing. the two people i went out there with decided to stay for a few days - but i had to get back for work so i hitchhiked back to portland.
the last girl that picked me up seemed like she knew a lot of people in portland - so i told her if she had any friends looking for a roommate i was looking for a place. she then stated that she was just moving back from some time in jamaica and spain and she was looking to move into a place in the next few weeks.
so we moved in together. kind of.
i moved in. i was in the place for about a week before she got around to bringing her stuff over.
moved it in two days ago. yesterday she went to hawaii for two weeks. last minute trip.

whatever, i'm not homeless anymore.
her friend mamadou lives here as well.
mamadou's friend sallah abdoul lives here too.
he denies it - but every night he sleeps on the couch. i tell him he lives here. he tells me he doesn't.
sallah and mamadou sit around and watch awful television like family feud all day.

in unrelated news: fuck it. free for all. i am going to start enriching uranium. nuclear weapons program '07 baby.
i figure if everyone is doing it, i might as well.
