The sun is out, I have a hot cup of tea in hand and a productive day ahead. Time to collect my thoughts and write for a while. Here are some photographs and paintings:
Work has been hectic. I'm juggling several projects right now as well as a huge commission for a Game of Thrones-esque novel, so I have very little time to myself. It is good though, I am definitely improving all the time and that progress makes it all worthwhile. I travelled to Puerto Pollensa a few weeks ago, as I do every year, for some much needed rest. There were incredible thunderstorms for a solid week and it reminded me how much I miss that intense weather; at home we generally move between rain and sun with little variety.
2 months ago I moved into a nice wee flat at The Shore in Edinburgh, a sort of stylish, trendy area near the water. I'm actually really enjoying it here, although I do dearly miss living beside the Meadows (anyone from Edinburgh will understand this).
My band The Paradigm Complex have nearly finished our second album; it's been on the go for a good year now so is well overdue, it does sound incredible though. Here's a sample for your ears:
