I saw some belly dancing on Friday and I enjoyed myself. It's not my first time seeing this particular group so rather than ogling the performers' midriffs I was more noticing the technical aspects of the art (movement, tempo, style, etc.). Don't get me wrong, there were times where my eyes did wander away from the bellies to other alluring aspects or other times when I was captivated by the lava lamp like tendencies of the muscular undulations. I picked up a DVD for one of my coworkers who didn't give enough money the bastard so methinks I should watch it for compensation.
Anyway, one of my friends does belly dancing and I want to try it out just for exercise, for future acts and because a lot of my movement is similar. Now my girlfriend is interested too even though I don't think we'd be able to take classes together because usually males take separate classes and that's even if I can find any (they're quite rare).
P.S. There's apparently belly dancing summer camps out there... co-ed... doesn't that sound like fun?

That sounds like a fun thing for couples to do together.Hopefully you guys will be able to do that.The camp sounds cool too.
