Well since @weedfarmer created one of these, and they're fun to fill out (template is on weedfarmer's blog), here's mine ๐:
-
1) How did you spend your Thanksgiving? ๐ฆ
With family. My brother held Thanksgiving dinner; all of us brought a dish to pass, and I brought the whipped cream for the pie (much to the kids' delight, they look forward to that spray cream more than the pie! ๐ฅง) ๐ The whole family played games at the table after dinner before dessert, and we all had a blast!
-
2) Do you shop on Black Friday?
-
3) Any family traditions for Thanksgiving?
Besides getting together, we have no real traditions for Thanksgiving, but I wouldn't rule things out in the future.
-
4) Favorite outdoor winter activities? โ๏ธ
When I was a kid, I enjoyed tobogganing or sledding down hill, but these days I'm happy to stay inside as I don't like the cold.
-
5) Who's putting up a Christmas tree? ๐
I will be, but I'm being lazy right now. Same with outdoor Christmas decorations.
-
6) Do you give to any charities during the holidays?
Generally I give to the local food banks.
-
7) Morning person or night owl? ๐
Generally a night owl. I'm only a morning person if I've fallen asleep very early the night before, and even after 8 hours of sleep when I'm wide awake, I'm still likely to lay in bed and daydream for another hour or two before getting up.
-
8) Back to Thanksgiving what are you thankful for?
That I'm alive, thankful for the family and friends I have, and that I'm keeping to my quest to improve myself.
-
9) In love or looking for love?
Not in a relationship nor looking for love at the moment, although I'm not above dating at this point if the opportunity arises (though I haven't been in a relationship for awhile.) I'm using bachelorhood as a time to improve myself.
-
10) Shop early or wait to the last minute for your holiday gifts?
Sometimes early (being before Halloween), but I tend to be closer to a last minute shopper (not on Xmas eve, but a few days before.)
-
11) Question for the members, what's your favorite things you love about the SG website?
As I've said in the past, I'm here for the friendships. The SGs and Hopefuls who have photosets are all physically beautiful, but getting to know then in livestream is even better: the random stuff we talk about, the laughter, and so on. ๐
-
12) Favorite indoor activities during the winter months?
Besides hibernating, I usually play music when the mood hits me. ๐น
-
13) Something simple we don't know about you?
I'm an amateur musician.๐ผ
-
14) Craziest thing or funniest thing you've done lately?
Hard to pin one thing down since I'm clowning constantly and love to make people laugh.
-
15) Any family traditions for Christmas?
The whole family gets together at Christmas every year (both days), and we have a blast. In the past we had one family member dress up as Santa Claus ๐ for all the kids, last year we did a sing along, with me and my brother playing guitars and getting everyone all singing. ๐ธ
-
16) Somethings you hate about the holidays?
A toss-up between bad Christmas movies and bad Christmas/Holiday music. I can tolerate the standards, it's the modern quasi-new-age crap where someone plays a chord on a guitar and snivels, โChristmasโ... I'm like, โwhat in Hallmark hell is this horseshit?!?โ And don't get me started on the Mariah Carey Christmas song they play to death! ๐คฎ๐คฎ๐คฎ

17) How did you spend your Halloween? ๐ป
Mostly working. By the time I got home the festivities were over, so I didn't get around to handing out candy this year. I did go to a Halloween party a day before Halloween (which I blogged about.)
-
18) Your plans for New Year's? ๐งง
Haven't been to a good new year's party in forever, the past 5 years I relaxed at home, laughing at all the people shivering to death on TV watching a ball drop. Once the clock strikes midnight, I turn off the TV and go to sleep.๐ด So far that's what it's looking like this year.

19) Share a Christmas memorie?
When I was a kid, the entire extended family would get together at my grandparents house for dinner and festivities. My grandfather would get a huge roaring fire going in the fireplace ๐ฅ, and would actually roast nuts over the fire. We'd have all this great homemade Italian food for dinner. All of us kids, completely wired on caffeine and sugar from all the pop we drank would be racing around the house, until Santa Claus ๐ arrived, and then after he left we'd keep going as the energy levels never diminished. My grandmother, her sisters, and sister-in-law would make this giant pot of coffee โ (in one of those electric West Bend things that held like 50 cups and had an orange light come on when it was all ready), and be up all night long buzzed on coffee (very strong Italian style, enough to curl your hair!) talking up a storm.
